Running Lotus Notes with the data-folder located on a network share, combined with sync of Offline folders has a nasty tendency of creating corrupt files. Please obtain a copy and restart Notes.
If the necessary Bookmark.ntf cannot be located, then the workaround is to rename the bookmark.nsf and force a new one to be created, which will be based on the currently available Cache.ndk Location The corrupt bookmark file cannot be accessed by user so, Lotus Notes itself try to create new bookmark.nsf file but as it already exist, and it leads the error message "File Deleting the existing BOOKMARK.NTF and either copying that file from another Notes client of the same/higher release that launches successfully. Answer This issue will occur if you have a Notes Preferences file from an older Notes release in the "Macintosh HD : System Folder : Preferences" Folder on your harddrive.
